Aura Conservation are pleased to announce that we have begun works on St Anne’s Church in Buxton.
A beautiful and historic church, possibly the oldest building in Buxton.
The Church has now had scaffold erected on all sides and the stone masons have moved in, by the entrance you can see how we are beginning to re-point the stone by grinding out the mortar first.
Whilst they aren’t having a total re-point but more of patchwork repairs, also included in the works will be external fabric repairs, guttering refurbishment and minor roof repairs, along with some internal decoration and new metal handrails.
We are very excited to be apart of the renovation of exterior works but especially its ornate interior is a wonderful testimony to its Anglo-Catholic traditional past.
Working with Architects BDP – Graham Renton and St Annes RC Church.
