Our Friends In Conservation; Workshops

Have you considered holding Workshops for your Volunteers and Staff?

We have previously worked with Heritage 1st and Stevenson’s College on our project at Coalville Clocktower to give students the opportunity to work on a Listed building. As most construction courses are of a more general nature, we consider initiatives like this to be essential in giving students hands on experience in working with traditional materials and using heritage techniques, as well an giving an insight into how working on historic buildings may differ from more general construction work. We hope that by participating in work experience schemes like this, we are helping to encourage more young people to get involved and interested in heritage skills and hopefully consider developing these specialist trades.

We have also, on previous projects, led workshops demonstrating heritage skills to students, architects and community groups. This is also something we would be happy to develop on your projects, Should you wish to arrange Workshops for your team, please contact in the first instance, Ken Foster, Estimating Manager, on 0161 442 9850
