RICS Awards 2018
Aura Conservation were invited to this years RICS Awards which were held in London at the Brewery on 2nd November 2018. Represented by our leader Craig Liddle, invited there as the Conservation regional category winner from Yorkshire & Humber for our work at Eshton Hall, Skipton to compete in the Grand Final.
Take a look at our blog written about the works carried out at Eshton Hall here.
The prestigious annual contest saw over 90 of the UK’s most impressive and community beneficial property schemes battling it out for their desired awards, celebrating together the significant positive impact that construction and conservation have on the communities they serve.
Despite the competition element of these awards, it was truly a night of laughter and professionals sharing experiences from their work.
Unfortunately, it was not ourselves who took home the 1st prize in Conservation – but we were happy to celebrate along with the winners for their fantastic work carried out on Yr Ysgwrn, Gwynedd; a cultural symbol for the people of Wales. It is a simple 19th century farmstead yet represents the life and achievements of one of Wales’ most famous poets, Ellis Humphrey Evans who is better known by his bardic name Hedd Wyn.
